Getting Started with Takedown

Set up Takedown Scoring and Stats for your program in about 15 minutes. You need an iPad running iOS 18.6 or later and an internet connection for the first sign-in.

1. Download Takedown

On your iPad, open the App Store and search for Takedown Scoring and Stats, or use this link: Takedown Scoring and Stats on the App Store. It's a free download.

Takedown is an iPad app, so it doesn't appear in the App Store on an iPhone. Fans follow results on Takedown LIVE, which opens in any browser with nothing to download.

2. Create your team's account

1. Open Takedown and tap Sign Up under Start a team. If your program already has an account, tap Log In instead and skip to step 4.
2. Enter an email address and a password of at least six characters. Use a team email address that stays with your program, not a personal or work one. Everyone on your staff signs in with this account.
3. Open the verification email from LevelChanger and click the link, then return to Takedown and tap Email Verified. No email? Check your junk or spam folder, or tap Resend Verification Email.

3. Set up your team

1. Select the rules to score matches: High School or College.
2. Enter your team name or program. Write it out in full, for example "Central High School," not "CHS."
3. Select the state in which your program is located.
4. Choose whether to Allow Notifications for news about releases and improvements.

4. Build your first Season

1. Takedown creates your first Season for you, named for the school year (for example "2026 - 2027") and running October 1 to April 30. Tap My Team > Seasons, open it, tap Edit and check its name, dates, style and weight classes. A clear name helps, for example "2026-27 Boys HS."
2. In the Season, tap Get [your team] Roster to download your roster from our online database, or import it from a spreadsheet.
3. Tap Get Opponent Teams to download the teams you'll wrestle.
4. Open Schedule and tap + to add your dual meets and tournaments.

5. Add your logo and staff

• Tap My Team > Edit to add your logo. It appears on reports, the scoreboard, handouts and Takedown LIVE.
• Tap My Team > Contacts to add coaches, media contacts and other staff.
• Sign in to the same account on every iPad your staff uses. Data syncs between them automatically.

6. Start your free trial

Scoring matches and recording video need a subscription, and every new subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Tap Settings > Takedown Store to start it. See Buying a Subscription or Starting a Free Trial.
