Terms used throughout Takedown and this help center.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| My Team | Your program's identity: team name, short name, state and logo. My Team holds your Contacts and Seasons. |
| Season | All data for one period of your program: schedule, practices, roster, opponent teams, scored matches, video, weigh-ins and equipment. Seasons are separate, so a change in one doesn't affect another, but reports can combine several. Each Season has a style, weight classes and competition levels. |
| Schedule | The list of events in a Season. Every event's date must fall between the Season's start and end dates. |
| Event | A Dual Meet, a Dual Meet Tournament (one event that holds several dual meets) or a Tournament. |
| Match | A contest between two wrestlers. |
| Exhibition | A match that doesn't count toward the team score. Reports can include or leave out exhibitions. |
| Style | Folkstyle or Freestyle. Set for each Season and event; it decides the scoring buttons and rules. |
| Competition Level | Varsity, JV, Freshman, Middle School, Youth or Other. Chosen for each Season and set on each event, then used to filter reports. |
| Roster | The wrestlers on your team for a Season. |
| Opponent Teams | The teams you might wrestle in a Season. A team must be on this list before you can schedule a dual meet against it. |
| Event Roster | The wrestlers entered in a particular event. |
| Weigh In | The weights recorded for an event or practice. |
| Pairings | The expected matchups for a dual meet or the bouts for a tournament, set before or during scoring. |
| MWC | Minimum Weight Class, from weight certification: the lowest weight class a wrestler can compete at during the season. |
| MWW | Minimum Wrestling Weight, from weight certification: the wrestler's weight at minimum body fat, typically 7% for boys. |
| Override | A Scoring button that shows every scoring action, including ones not normally allowed at that moment. Use it rarely. |
| Scored Live | Whether a match was scored as it happened. Matches not scored live are left out of clock-based stats such as Short Time and Riding Time. |
| Filter | In Reports, settings that narrow or widen the data a report covers, such as Season, style, competition level, event and wrestler. Each report keeps its own filters. |
| Takedown LIVE | A free web page where fans follow your matches as they're scored, with nothing to download. |
| Envelope icon | Emails content, such as a report or video link, to the groups or people you choose. |
| Share icon | A square with an arrow pointing up. Sends content outside Takedown: print, save to files, or open in another app. |
| Takedown Primary Contact | A contact who receives emails from LevelChanger about Takedown. Your account's sign-in email is always a primary contact. Keep at least one contact whose inbox someone reads. |
