Your Takedown account is the email address and password your program uses to sign in. Every coach and every iPad uses the same account, so everyone sees the same data.
One account per program
Create one account for your whole program. Data from two Takedown accounts can't be combined later, so if you already have an account, sign in to it rather than signing up again. A single account can hold several affiliated teams (boys, girls, middle school, club) as separate Seasons.
Choosing the account email
- Use a team email address that stays with your program when coaches change, for example centralhighschoolwrestling@gmail.com. A Gmail address works well because the same address can sign in to YouTube for video uploads.
- Avoid personal email addresses. Many coaches have had trouble using @icloud.com addresses.
- School and work email systems sometimes block verification and password reset emails.
- Make sure someone reads the inbox. LevelChanger sends important news there about subscriptions and new releases.
Your Takedown account, Apple Account and YouTube account
- Takedown account: signs you in to Takedown and holds your data.
- Apple Account: the account on your iPad. Apple bills App Store subscriptions to it. Takedown can't see which Apple Account is on an iPad, and the email doesn't have to match your Takedown account.
- YouTube account: a Google account you sign in to under Manage Video so Takedown can upload your videos.
See which account you're signed in to
Tap Settings > Account. The top of the screen shows Signed in to and the email address.
Change the account email
- Tap Settings > Account > Change Email.
- Enter the New Email and your Current Password.
- Open the verification email sent to the new address and click the link.
- Return to Takedown and tap Email Verified. Takedown signs you out; sign back in with the new email.
Reset your password
- If you're signed in, tap Settings > Account > Reset Password.
- If you're signed out, tap Forgot Your Password? on the sign-in screen.
Takedown emails a reset link to your account email. No email? See Not Receiving Verification or Password Reset Email.
You can't get into the account email anymore
If no one can open the account's email inbox, you can't reset the password or change the email yourself. Email support@levelchanger.com with:
- The email address you can no longer access
- Your team name and state
- The email address you'd like to sign in with
We'll change the email and send you a temporary password, which you should change after signing in.
Sign out
Tap Settings > Account > Sign Out. If a match is still being scored, finish it first.
Delete your account
- Cancel any subscription first. Deleting the account doesn't cancel it. App Store subscriptions are cancelled through Apple; direct subscriptions at subscribe.levelchanger.com.
- Tap Settings > Account > Delete Account, confirm, and enter your password.
Deleting an account can't be undone. You won't be able to sign in to it again.
