Everything you need during a match is on one screen. Here's what each part does, top to bottom.
Header
- Event name. Tap it to switch to a different Event without leaving Scoring, or to choose one when it says Select Event. See Selecting the Event to Score.
- Weight Class (dual meet) or Pairing (tournament). Tap it to pick the next match. See Scoring a Dual Meet and Scoring a Tournament.
- Bracket, Round and Bout # in tournaments.
- Notes. Match notes while a match is loaded, otherwise Event notes.
- A Takedown LIVE indicator when broadcasting is on.
Scoresheet
One row per wrestler, one column per period: P1, P2, P3, then SV, TB-1, TB-2 and UTB for overtime (college shows SV-# and TB-#; freestyle has P1 and P2). Each scoring action is written in the period it happened with the standard scorebook notation, for example T3, E1, R2, N2. The last column is the running score.
- Wrestler name. Tap it to pick or change the wrestler, choose Forfeit or Unknown Wrestler, or change colors. The two wrestlers are always one green and one red.
- Start position. The small icon in a period column shows who starts top, bottom or neutral. When a period has a choice, tap the icon in that wrestler's row to set it. In a dual meet, Takedown tracks which team has the second-period choice, weight class by weight class.
- Team scores appear next to the team names in a dual meet.
Scoring buttons
Each wrestler has a column of buttons on their side of the screen: Takedown, Escape, Reverse, Near Fall (opens the point values), Penalty/Other, Tech Fall and Pin. Tap the button on the side of the wrestler it applies to: points on the scorer's side, penalties on the side of the wrestler who committed them (the points go to the other wrestler). Penalty/Other holds Caution, Stalling, Tech Violation, Illegal Hold, Unsportsmanlike Conduct, Unnecessary Roughness, Flagrant Misconduct, Team Points Deduction, Choice on Restart, Default and Disqualification. Freestyle has its own set; see Scoring Freestyle.
Buttons that don't apply right now are greyed out. Takedown follows the rules: a wrestler who is on top can't escape, nothing scores while the clock is stopped except what the rules allow, and so on. When the referee awards something the buttons won't let you enter, use Override. See Fixing Scoring Mistakes.
Below each wrestler's buttons, Clocks opens that wrestler's Injury, Blood, Recovery and HNC clocks. College matches also show Riding Time.
Center controls
- Match clock. Tap to start and stop. The period name is shown under it.
- End Period, which becomes End Match when the match is decided. Tap it when the period is over; Takedown moves to the next period or wraps up the match.
- Undo erases the last scoring action.
- Override turns on every button for one tap.
- Start Over erases the match, and its video, and starts again at period 1.
- Camera. Turns on video recording. See Recording Match Video.
Settings that change the screen
In Settings > Scoring:
- Score shots adds a Shot button for each wrestler so you can count takedown attempts.
- Ask for official time for pin, tech fall, DQ, or DEF prompts for the official time from the referee when a match ends early, instead of using the match clock.
