Tournaments are scored one pairing at a time, with brackets, rounds and bout numbers recorded on each match.
Set up
- In My Team > Schedule, open the tournament, tap Event Roster to choose who's competing, then Weigh In to put each wrestler in a weight class. Without a weight class, Scoring shows --- for the weight.
- Add the opponent teams you expect, so their wrestlers are available by name. Teams you didn't add can still be scored against Unknown Wrestler, or add the wrestler on the spot.
Scoring a bout
- In Scoring, tap Pairing in the header. Pairings you added in the tournament's Pairings are listed as Regulation or Exhibition; tap the one that's up.
- If the pairing isn't listed, tap each wrestler's name on the scoresheet and pick the wrestler.
- Set Bracket and Round in the header, and the bout number if you use them. They appear in reports and on Takedown LIVE.
- Score the match and tap Move On.
While a match is being scored, only pairings with both wrestlers can be selected.
Dual meet tournaments
A dual meet tournament is one Event that holds several dual meets, across one or more days with their own weigh-ins. Each dual inside it is scored like any dual meet: tap the Event name in Scoring, open the tournament and pick the dual. See Scoring a Dual Meet.
USA Wrestling tournaments
Takedown supports USAW tournaments for every age group. When you create the Event, set its Style and choose the Divisions; the scoring buttons and period lengths follow. Freestyle scoring is described in Scoring Freestyle.
