Everything about a wrestler lives on their Roster entry: tap My Team > Seasons, the Season, Roster, then the wrestler. Tap Edit to change anything.
What you can record
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Photo | Add Photo, then Take Photo or Choose Photo. Shown on reports, the scoreboard, Takedown LIVE and as the YouTube thumbnail. |
| Grade or college year | Rolls forward when you copy a Roster with Promote Wrestlers to Next Grade Level. |
| Birthdate | Used for USA Wrestling age divisions. |
| Certification, MWC, MWW | Filled in automatically from Trackwrestling or USA Bracketing; see Weight Certification, MWC, MWW and the Descent Plan. |
| Contact Info | The wrestler's own phone and email, used when you email or text wrestlers. |
| Parents/Guardians | Tap + to add each parent; they join the Parent/Guardian email group. See Contacts, Team Roles and Group Email. |
| Equipment | Track Equipment records what's issued and returned. See Equipment Tracking. |
| Notes | Anything else. Notes aren't shared outside Takedown. |
Details you add here are kept when the Roster updates from the online database.
Sorting the Roster
Tap the sort button (two arrows, top right of the Roster) to sort by Name or MWC. The same button is on every wrestler list in My Team and Scoring.
Removing a wrestler
Open the wrestler, tap Edit, scroll to the bottom and tap Remove Wrestler from Roster. The wrestler leaves this Season's Roster; their matches stay in your records and reports, and they remain on other Seasons' Rosters. A wrestler selected in a match being scored can't be removed until that match is finished.
A wrestler listed twice
Open the duplicate, tap Edit, change the name to match the other entry exactly and tap Done. Takedown asks whether to merge; tap Merge. Matches, pairings, weigh-ins and Seasons from the duplicate move to the one that's left. The same works on an Opponent Team's wrestlers.
Adding a wrestler whose name already exists on the team but not in this Season doesn't create a duplicate either: Takedown offers to add the existing wrestler, records intact.
