Your Roster is your team's wrestlers for one Season. Each Season has its own Roster, so a new Season starts empty until you fill it. There are three ways, and most teams use the first.
1. Subscribe to your team in the online database (recommended)
Every team with a roster on Trackwrestling, USA Bracketing or USA Wrestling is in our roster database, which is updated roughly once a day. Subscribing downloads your Roster and keeps it current automatically.
- Tap My Team > Seasons, the Season, then Get [your team] Roster.
- Tap Add Team, pick the season and level (for college, men's or women's), then your state or governing body, then your team. There's a search box at the top of the team list.
- Tap Subscribe. The wrestlers appear on your Roster, and your team is listed under Roster Sources with the date of its last update.
Rosters from Trackwrestling and USA Bracketing include each wrestler's certified minimum weight class and minimum wrestling weight; rosters from Trackwrestling also include details entered there, such as email addresses. If your team's logo or location is blank, the feed fills those in too. From then on, changes made on the source show up in Takedown on their own. See Roster Sync: Automatic Roster Updates.
A team can have more than one source, for example a boys' and a girls' roster feeding one Season, or Trackwrestling and USA Wrestling for a club. Tap Add Team again for each.
2. Import a file
If your team isn't in the database, export your Roster from a spreadsheet as a CSV file and open it in Takedown. See Importing a Roster from a File.
3. Add wrestlers by hand
Tap My Team > Seasons, the Season, Roster, then +. First and last name are all that's required; everything else can be added later. See Editing Wrestlers.
Starting a new Season
Use Get [your team] Roster again in the new Season; the database has the current roster. Copy [your team] Roster copies last Season's wrestlers instead, with Promote Wrestlers to Next Grade Level; use it only for a team that isn't in the database. See Starting a New Season.
