Your team's name, short name and logo appear on every report, on Takedown LIVE and on the scoreboard. Set them once in My Team.
Name, short name and state
- Tap My Team, then Edit.
- School Name: the team's full name, for example Central High School. Leave out competition levels and years; those belong in Season names and Events.
- School Short Name: the abbreviation used in scorebooks, box scores and the scoreboard, in capitals, for example CHS. Reports are laid out for short names in capitals.
- State.
- Tap Done.
Running boys, girls and middle school teams in one account? Use a general School Name such as Central and put the team in the Season name: "2026 - 2027 Girls". See Seasons.
Logo
- Save the logo to the iPad's Photos app. A square image with a plain background looks best.
- Tap My Team, then Edit, then Add Logo (or tap the current logo and Choose Logo). Allow access to Photos if asked.
- Pick the image and tap Done.
The logo shows up on reports, Takedown LIVE and the scoreboard. Opponent teams can have logos too: tap My Team > Opponent Teams, the team, Edit, Add Logo.
Location
Tap Edit on your team and set Location to your home gym: search for the address or use your current location. It becomes the default location for home dual meets (a Season's Home Event Location, if set, takes precedence), and it appears as a tappable link that opens Apple Maps, or Google Maps if it's installed. Tap the x next to the address to clear it.
High school or college rules
The rule set, High School (NFHS) or College, was chosen when the account was created and is shown in Settings > About. It decides period lengths, riding time, near fall points and tie breakers, and it can't be changed. A program that needs both rule sets uses a separate Takedown account for each.
