A Season holds one team's roster, opponent teams, schedule, matches, weigh-ins and practices for one competitive year. Takedown always has a Season selected, and almost everything you see belongs to it.
Creating a Season
- Tap My Team > Seasons, then +.
- Enter a Season Name, the Start Date and End Date. Every Event's date has to fall between them.
- Under Event Defaults, set the Style (Folkstyle or Freestyle), the Weight Classes and the Home Event Location. New Events start with these.
- Choose the Competition Levels the Season uses (Varsity, JV, Freshman, Middle School, Youth, Other).
- Tap Done.
A new Takedown account starts with a Season named for the school year, for example "2026 - 2027", running October 1 to April 30.
Leave Include non-certified wrestlers when downloading rosters on for USA Wrestling clubs and off if you only want certified wrestlers from Trackwrestling. See the Rosters section.
One Season per team
Boys, girls, middle school and club teams each get their own Season, for example "2026 - 2027 Boys" and "2026 - 2027 Girls". Each Season then has its own roster, opponent list, weight classes and schedule, reports filter by Season instead of by Event, and a scorer working in one Season can't disturb another team's data.
Selecting a Season
Tap My Team > Seasons and tap the Season. Rosters, the schedule, Scoring and Reports all switch to it. The list is sorted by start date, newest first, then by name.
Archiving and restoring
When a Season is over, swipe left on it in the Seasons list and tap Archive. The Season moves to cloud storage and off your iPads, which keeps them fast; nothing is lost. Tap the archive box button at the top of the Seasons list to see archived Seasons and Restore one.
Deleting a Season
Delete every Event in the Season first (open the Event, tap Edit, scroll down, Delete Event). Then open the Season, tap Edit, scroll down and tap Delete Season. Deleting removes it from every iPad and can't be undone; archive instead unless you're sure.
Opponent teams are shared
Seasons are separate from each other, with one exception: an opponent team's name, short name, state, logo and In Conference setting are shared by every Season that has that team. Opponent rosters are per Season.

Would this work for / apply to teams that want to keep their JV and Varsity Squads separate? We run two separate practices and the attendance and weigh-ins would be easier to manage if we could separate them...
