Once Broadcast is on, every match you score goes to Takedown LIVE as you score it. Set it up once before the season.
Turn it on
- Tap Settings > Takedown LIVE.
- If you see Start Using Takedown LIVE, tap it.
- Turn on Broadcast. Do this while the iPad is online.
How your team looks
Tap Edit Broadcast Info to set what fans see:
- Broadcast Name and Short Name, the names shown in the My Teams and Scores tabs.
- Team Logo: tap Edit, then Use My Team Logo or Choose Logo from Photos. Until you do, Takedown LIVE shows "Add Logo Here".
- Team Color: the background color behind your name.
How a team appears on Takedown LIVE
Tap Done. Change it any time, but keep it consistent so fans can find you.
During the Event
With Broadcast on, nothing else is needed. The Takedown LIVE icon in the Scoring header shows the state: a green border means results are going out, a red border means results are waiting. If the gym's internet drops, keep scoring; Takedown sends the backlog when the connection returns. Many school networks block the traffic, so a phone hotspot is the surest connection. Takedown LIVE uses very little data.
Publishing and removing matches
- A whole Event: open the Event and tap Publish Matches to Takedown LIVE, or Remove Matches from Takedown LIVE to take them down.
- One match: open the Event, tap Matches, the match, then Publish to Takedown LIVE or Remove from Takedown LIVE.
Publishing sends the scoring. Video is added separately: open the Event's Manage Video and tap Publish All. A match's video can only be published if the match itself is on Takedown LIVE.
Weight class missing in a tournament
If tournament matches show no weight class on Takedown LIVE, the wrestlers weren't assigned one. Open the Event, tap Weigh In and give each wrestler a weight (or tap Use MWC for Weight); the weight class fills in and the matches update.
